Anime Review: Minami-ke Tadaima

About/Thoughts:
The fourth season in this anime Minami-ke Tadaima is a soothing yet hilarious nichijou anime. The thing about this series though, that puts it slightly out of the norm, is that each season of this series is drawn and animated by a different artist/team. As such, the designs from season 1 are only similar to season 4 in that they feature the same characters/setting. I've watched hundreds of anime but this is the only anime I've seen do this, and I have yet to find out why this is so. But anyway, about the anime itself....

The Minami-ke series is about the daily lives at home and school of the three minami-ke sisters. Haruka (eldest in highschool), is extremely motherly and smart but frightening when angered. Kana (middle child in middleschool) is hyper, gluttonous, dumb, and pretty annoying to all who know her. The youngest (elementary) Chiaki, is incredibly smart but aggressive and aloof with her catch-phrase throughout the entire series being "you dumbass" (usually directed at Kana while Haruka gets the title of Haruka-neesama). Other characters include a senpai with a stripping problem, a cross-dressing classmate, and a boy frantic to express his feelings to his crush but always ends up creating weird/hilarious stunts in the process.

This series is a pleasant i'm-bored-and-out-of-anime-to-watch kind of thing. The best thing is you don't need to watch previous seasons to understand the relationships in this fourth season. I recommend this to all those who enjoy a relaxing laugh.
