Artist Profile: Oomori Seiko [大森靖子]

Background:
Born September 18th (1987) as Yasuko Seiko, Oomori Seiko is a pop-rock singer signed to Avex Trax whose been gaining attention for her unique music style and PV's. Before making her major debut in late 2013, Oomori was an active indie singer who began preforming lives in 2008. She has an impressive discography under her belt and is also a singer-songwriter who plays the acoustic guitar. Up until mid 2015, Oomori was the vocalist for a joint unit with the band THE Pink Tokarev (later disbanded in 2015). In 2014, she announced her marriage and then announced the birth of her first child (boy) the following year. The most viewed video on her Youtube channel has a bit over one million views to date (uploaded in 2013).

Ringo's Thoughts:
Oomorin's style since her indie days has evolved into a uniquely and colorfully chaotic wonderland sort of feel. Contrary to her age but true to her appearance, she is nicknamed 'the eternal highschooler' (or something along those lines I don't remember) and her voice is very thin, high-pitched, and nasally. I'm used to those type of voices and her crazy music and fashion only serve to reel me in further. As of late Oomorin has been featuring many female models in her PV's, giving her videos a strong sense of femininity. This probably has to do with the fact that Oomorin is a huge female idol fan. She is also a talented musician and a big ball of adorable.
