Background:
Uchida's first of the two mini-albums to be unveiled through a promotional PV. This mini-album is titles Sweet Tears and the musical theme is sweet pop and with an electric twist. Released February 10th.
Ringo's Thoughts:
Uchida is the seiyuu behind Love Live's beloved Kotori so she's gotten a certain image from that since that role is what gave her popularity a drastic spike. Sweet Tears follows that cutsey feel and sticks well to its announced theme of sweet electronic pop. Uchida has one of those sugary high-pitched voices that tend to turn Westerners away from many female JPOP singers, but honestly the music on this EP compliments her singing very nicely and even changes it around as Uchida experiments with autotune and dashes of dubstep. If you took a liking to Kotori and want more of her singing voice to listen to, this album out of the two is the one to go with.
