Doujin Music Review: ELECTRIC PARTY SYSTEM

Background:
Second full length album released by collaboration of Vocaloid and Show By Rock! music producer yksb and vocalist pair MiLO and 31STYLE. Released at 2016's Comiket 89.

Ringo's Thoughts:
I had no idea SBR's producer had side projects on his plate, but I'm sure as hell happy he does because he makes fantastic music. Just as the title suggests, this album's musical theme is electronic pop. Both vocalists have 'sweet' voices but they're also sturdy and while they occasionally get slightly drowned out by the loud electronic beats, most of the time they stay front and center. Such a combination of 'sweet' voices and hard-going electronic beats is rare in the mainstream JPOP scene, and I honestly I'm not entirely used to it myself. But it's a strangely attractive mix and I've grown to like this album. As expected of an experienced producer, yksb knows his stuff.
