Anime Review: Sakura Trick
Posted on Friday, March 4, 2016 @ 4:53 PM | 0 comment(s)

About/Thoughts:
Sakura Trick is a 2014 yuri anime that features several couples among friends who are in the same highschool class. The main paring is between Haruka and Yuu (girls in left picture).

If you're into yuri you're gonna go crazy watching this cause this is the most blatantly lesbonic anime I've ever seen. Despite having watched past anime officially labeled as yuri, I've never seen one so....loud about it. Starting from the very beginning there's a kiss scene literally each episode and they get more and more intimate every time. But I think the best part about this anime, is it doesn't just appeal to yuri-loving male otaku. It has the potential to be appealing to actual lesbian otaku and straight female otaku as well. It isn't like most yuri where there's needless fanservice or strangely erotic moments that wouldn't actually happen between two lesbians. Sakura Trick focuses on the sweet, clumsy, and innocent side of yuri rather than the fanservice (although the kisses get pretty daring sometimes). I personally thought it was adorable to see Haruka and Yuu's friendship evolve into love and in my humble opinion they make a very satisfying couple.
