Single Review: Chitose Tsuzuri
Posted on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 @ 9:54 AM | 0 comment(s)

Background:
Idol singer Yoshida Rinne's third single. Used as the opening theme song to the horror game series Iwai Hime, this single was released January 29th (2016).

Ringo's Thoughts:
I'm pretty excited for Rinne considering this is the first time her music is being used in a different form of media besides just being a solo CD release. Whether the game becomes big or not, she's bound to get more fans this way and I'm glad her name and face is getting out there. She's a talented and sweet young woman and she deserves her popularity.

The song is pretty befitting of a horror game, as its melody is slightly haunting and nostalgia-inducing. Rinne's voice, which is fresh and the 'sweet' type, may seem a strange match for such a job, but I think that this combination actually helps to set the mood for entering into a horror game. Haunting music sung by a young girl is always creepy anyway.
