Since this is a debut single this article will be part profile and part single review

Single Background:
Official debut single of brand new anisong singer Akatsuki Rin. English translation is Wings of Determination and the single, used as the second ending theme to anime Kindaichi Case Files R, was released on March 2nd.

Profile:
Rin is a fresh-out-of-the-box anisong singer making her professional debut. According to her website's profile page Rin has loved anime and singing since a young age and has aspired to be an anisong singer for quite some time. Her real name and face is unknown, as her profile conceals her exact birthdate (only giving the month and day) and her debut music video keeps her face hidden the entire time.

Ringo's Thoughts:
Concealing your face seems to be a fad going on with new female singers nowadays in Japan and though I don't quite understand why, I do admit that it adds to the appeal of the singers as it makes them more mysterious and/or interesting. Rin's debut music video does well to show off her rich voice and the visuals along with her hidden face only add to my interest. The lyrics of the song also send a very encouraging message.
